Finally, after almost 8 months of silence, an update! I apologize sincerely for how much I've avoided working on anything for this website; I have absolutely no excuse! But hopefully (fingers crossed) I'll be back on form with a bit more regular updates. The most impressive (in my opinion) piece I am unveiling today is Mandy Hoff's English language translation of Frédérick Durand's brilliant article on Mario Mercier! Check it out in the articles section, I'm fairly certain it's the most comprehensive overview of Mercier's work in English (as formerly it was the most comprehensive overview on the net of Mercier's work in French!). In other new content, we have a new review of Harmony Korine's most recent film, Mister Lonely courtesy of Mr. Dan Schank. Plus two new reviews written by me as well!

Major update. Three new reviews (linked to the right), plus the LIBRARY section is finally up. I also started working on the PEOPLE section but there isn't very much there yet... there's the basic index, but the only profile I have up yet is Alain Robbe-Grillet's, which features (to the best of my knowledge) the most complete filmography and the most completele English language bibliography available on the web. I will be adding more profiles as time allows, but I won't be announcing them all on this homepage. Updates to the People section will be noted on the People index page. And to top it off, I finally completed my top ten 2007 dvd releases list, which is available in the ARTICLE section of the website.

Four new reviews have been added since the last official "update," one by me and three by some amazing contributors. Make sure to check them out! Expect some major updates soon.

Esotika Erotica Psychotica has finally been launched! While admittedly there is still nothing in the LIBRARY or PEOPLE section, I felt like there was enough content (including a must-read new article by Italian film historian Roberto Curti on the enigmatic Alberto Cavallone, as well as a new review of Cervi's Queens of Evil by Eric Cotenas) that it warrented going live. I've been working on the site for over a month now, writing content for it for the last year, and it feels remarkably amazing to finally have it live! Please take the time to check out all the sections of the site, if you have any comments, corrections, or criticisms, please email me at!
